Love Shack is a six episode, commercial half hour TV series on the Nine Network following the journey of one of the most popular couples from The Block, Dea and Darren Jolly as they create their dream of a family farm on the Mornington Peninsula.

Darren is a country boy, a professional home builder and ex AFL star.

Dea is a city girl and a well-respected and influential interior designer.

Together they are the perfect combination to take on the challenge of transforming this tiny rundown farm into a stunning family rural retreat – with all the challenges of a sensitive environment and harsh coastal weather conditions.

The record-setting couple appeared on back-to-back seasons of The Block – Glasshouse & Triple Threat, where they had audiences on the edge of their seats when they smashed the price benchmarks and bagged a windfall of almost $1 million dollars, the highest in The Block’s 10 season history.
Without a doubt one of the most talked-about and successful couples to come out of the Nine Network franchise The Block, Dea and her former dual premiership AFL ruckman husband Darren now manage their own design and construction company

This is not a ‘slap and tickle’ TV renovation. LOVE SHACK is a genuine, quality design and build over six months and is going to take all Dea and Darren’s skills and determination to maximise this opportunity.
The couple are determined to make this renovation their best ever – and that’s really saying something. BUT, it’s not going to be all smooth sailing. Renovating never is!
Dea and Darren are embarking on their build in the depths of winter. Their property is in one of the Peninsula’s most sensitive Environmental Zones – and Dea has invited extended family to stay over Christmas and summer!
This will be a test for the young family. Darren will be on the tools all day while Dea will be juggling family life with her role as head designer.
Add to that everyone’s wish lists which include a billiard room, swimming pool, stables, farm animals and vegie patch and Dea and Darren’s patience - and budget - will be stretched to its limits.
